Another Chinese-run restaurant popular with the expat crowd is Terrace Café. The lunch-hour rush usually produces a motley crew of people bustling to get their meals, so it’s best to visit Terrace Café before midday or after 1 pm. Terrace Café is a Dili restaurant located on Rua Formosa, near Café Brasil.
It’s the same kind of setup as a lot of the restaurants in Dili: you get a plate of rice and then pick two or three sides to go with it. The food is a mixture of Indonesian and Chinese and a big meal will cost about $3. You can also get fruit juice at Terrace Café, but it’s a little pricey.
It’s certainly not the most exciting restaurant in Dili, but for a place to meet up and have lunch, it does the job.
